Changes to Council
I wish to advise that Nikki Robinson has resigned from her position of Secretary. As many of you may already be aware, Naomi and Vittoria resigned from their roles in 2009 and 2008 respectively.
Under the constititution, we are required to fill the vacant positions as soon as possible. Section 15 (iv) of the constitution, states:
"Should a vacancy appear on the Council by reason of the death or resignation of any member of the Council, or by reason of a resolution pursuant to 15 iii) hereof, the vacancy shall be filled from time to time by the Council. The Council shall have power to appoint any member of the Association who is a financial member for nomination to the Council, providing that person accepts the office to fill the vacancy."
Effective Sunday 30 May 2010, the Council hereby appoints the following persons into the vacant council roles:
Vice President: Karen Peppercorn
Public Officer: Simon Peppercorn
In addition two new committee positions have been established: "Events Co-ordinator" and "Research & Development Officer". I am pleased to advise that 'Carl Anderson', also known as 'Nailzoo' has been appointed to oversee both these roles.
Until such times as the position of Secretary and Treasurer have been filled, Karen Peppercorn will handle the responsibility of 'Secretary' and I will handle the 'Treasurer' role.
